Substitute Nurse
The Covenant School, an independent Christian Liberal Arts and Sciences and college preparatory school for Pre-K through Grade 12 located in Charlottesville, VA is looking for a Substitute School Nurse. This position will be on a per-needed basis at our Birdwood Campus (Pre-K through Grade 5) and/or our Hickory Campus (Grades 6 through 12).
Essential Duties:
- Monitor health and triage when an ill student comes to the school clinic.
- Monitor illness-related absences and enforce strategies related to health and wellness.
- Acting as a liaison between home and school and communicating with parents regarding student’s health and safety needs.
Qualifications:
- Must have graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Must be licensed as a RN by the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- Must possess current CPR & First Aid Certification
