Betsy Carter graduated from the University of Richmond in 1995 with her Bachelor of Science degree and went on to earn her Master of Teaching degree there in 1998. After serving in a variety of local teaching roles, she joyfully joined The Covenant School in 2009.
She spent eight years teaching Kindergarten on the Birdwood Campus, where she built deep relationships with students and families, before transitioning into the Admissions Office. She and her husband, Christian are the proud parents of two Covenant alumni and Swingset Club members, Susannah (’21) and Graham (’23).
Amanda Brown graduated with honors from Liberty University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education K-12 with a dual endorsement in Elementary Education PreK-6 and a concentration in English. She taught internationally as well as in the U.S. Amanda joined The Covenant School in 2020 as a Kindergarten teacher, and in June 2023, she joined the Admissions Team.
Karen Merrill earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Florida, with concentrations in graphic design, marketing, and public relations. After several years working for graphic design firms and as a freelance designer, she joined Covenant as an Admissions Assistant in 1995. Over the years, Karen has had the privilege of witnessing God's faithfulness as the school has grown and flourished. Karen and her husband, Bill, are grateful parents of two Covenant alumni and Swingset Club members, Gadsden (’05) and Alex (’08).
