Fulfilling Their Potential

The four years of Upper School at Covenant provide rich ground for students to apply the skills they have developed in the Lower and Middle Schools in sophisticated ways. Our Upper School offers a rich, comprehensive program, preparing young adults for life after Covenant. The college preparatory curriculum employs the best of classical and modern thought. Honors and accelerated courses are offered in all core disciplines and the Arts. Our Office of College and Academic Advising offers support and guidance to families as students craft a course selection sequence designed to help them fulfill their potential.

A Day in the Life of a Covenant School Student

Meet the Head of Upper School

Colin Anderson has served in many roles at The Covenant School: he is a Covenant parent, faculty member, wrestling coach, and formerly the Math Department Chair. He received his BS and MS in Mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and taught there before coming to The Covenant School ten years ago. In addition to his previous official capacities, he took on administrative projects outside the scope of his role as department chair, including his good work guiding us through the design and implementation of our new Middle and Upper School Schedules, as well as playing an integral part in developing a cohesive math program spanning both Hickory and Birdwood campuses.
