Girls LAX Solidifies their Dynasty with their 4th Straight State Championship Title

The Covenant School girls lacrosse team has cemented its dynasty, capturing a fourth consecutive state championship.
In a display of skill, determination, and championship pedigree, The Covenant School girls lacrosse team made history once again, clinching their fourth consecutive state championship title and solidifying their status as one of the most dominant programs in recent memory.

The final, held at the Hickory Campus, was more than just a game — it was a coronation. The team defeated VES with a score of 10-9, leaving no doubt that they remain the gold standard in high school girls lacrosse.

From the opening whistle, the Eagles set the tone with aggressive defense, precise ball movement, and explosive offensive plays. 

Head Coach Colleen Norair, who has guided the program through this unprecedented run, praised the team’s unity and work ethic. “Every championship is special, but this one feels like the culmination of something bigger,” said Norair. “These girls have built a legacy that will last far beyond their time on the field.”
Their senior class, which includes standout players such as Delaney Poindexter, Peyton Garber, Jenna Gilliam, and Cara Hamil, leaves behind an extraordinary legacy: four state titles, countless individual accolades, and an unshakable bond forged through years of dedication and teamwork.

For the underclassmen, the bar has been set — and if this season is any indication, the program is in good hands for years to come.

As the final whistle blew and the team lifted the championship trophy high, one thing became clear: this isn’t just a winning streak — it’s a dynasty.
