9 Student-Athletes to Continue their Careers in College
Among the fifty-nine students in the class of 2025, nine have chosen to compete at the next level.
In a proud moment for the Covenant community, nine student-athletes officially committed to continuing their athletic and academic careers at the collegiate level.
Surrounded by coaches, family, and classmates, the athletes participated in celebratory signing events recognizing their dedication and hard work across a variety of sports.
“These students have demonstrated not only exceptional athletic talent but also discipline and perseverance in the classroom,” said Athletic Director Patrick Estes. “We’re excited to watch them succeed at the next level.”

Cara Hamil - Washington and Lee University | Volleyball
Kai Archer - Le Moyne College | Lacrosse
Carter White - Emory & Henry University | Football
Makayla Hargrove - University of Lynchburg | Soccer
Will Wolfe - Shenandoah University | Football
Jonathan Newton - Old Dominion University | Football
This milestone reflects years of training, competition, and determination. As they move forward, these student-athletes leave behind a lasting legacy and set an inspiring example for future generations at Covenant, including 8 state championship titles as well as numerous playoff successes.
Located in Charlottesville, VA, The Covenant School is a non-denominational, private, Christian day school for Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. Students benefit from a challenging academic program, visual and performing arts, competitive athletics, and a wide selection of extracurricular activities.
