Artists serve the larger community by, among other things, calling us to slow down; stop, even, notice something that we might otherwise miss. Pay attention! The Arts also heighten our awareness of the powerful beauty shot through God's world. Pay attention! And sometimes artists make us confront hard things, broken things, bad things in need of redemption. Pay attention! As a whole-school community, we are going to pay attention to the artists in our midst and let them call our attention to their best work from this year.
Beginning Wednesday morning, visual artwork will be presented in many places around the school. These performances by students and faculty will continue Thursday and Friday during the day.
The big show will be Wednesday evening, April 18, at 7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium. Come early because we have a new format this year. Performances will be underway from the time you pull into the parking lot, even before the official start time. You need to be there, because, like all the rest of us, you also need to Pay Attention!
