Middle School Students Place in the Piedmont Regional Science Fair

Fifteen science fair projects were recently entered by Covenant middle schoolers in the Piedmont Regional Science Fair.
Students from counties across central Virginia were organized into 17 categories for the competition. Covenant took home awards in the following categories:

Caroline Booker and Dorthy Briggs each received a special award from sponsors
 
Pauline Gineste (No Plug, No problem) received an Honorable Mention in Engineering – Electrical & Mechanical
Sammy Higgins (Erosion on Different Grass Patterns) received an Honorable Mention in Environmental Management 
 
Erin Russell (Dog vs Human Saliva) won 2nd place in Cellular & Molecular Biology
Caroline Booker (Horse Stall Scooper) won 2nd place in Engineering – Materials & Bioengineering
