Fifth Grade Nativity & Service Project

The Birdwood Campus kicked off this Advent Season with a Live Nativity and French Christmas Market.
During Chapel this week, fifth-grade students dressed in costumes and memorized lines as they reenacted the Christmas Story. After the performance, families in attendance were invited to attend the French Christmas Market hosted by our fifth-grade students. As servant-leaders of the Lower School, fifth-grade students are seeking to show God's love to others by coordinating a school-wide coin drive and a “pay-what-you-can” French Christmas Market.

The money raised will be used to support two wonderful organizations nominated and voted on by our fifth-grade students: The Make-a-Wish Foundation and Christian Educators Outreach. The Make-a-Wish Foundation helps fulfill the wishes of children between the ages of 2 ½ and 18 who have a critical illness; Christian Educators Outreach (CEO) is a network of leaders, teachers, and ministry workers in eight countries over three continents. They will be supporting their efforts to provide relief inside Ukraine and to shine the light of Christ by sharing the Gospel with people there.

One of our Kindergarten students has already raised $250 by selling her artwork over Thanksgiving Break!

We are so proud of their servants' hearts!
