Our Birdwood Campus students recently participated in a jump rope unit in their PE classes. This unit not only improves their jump rope skills but builds a foundation for a healthy lifestyle. As the culmination of this unit, our students participated in our annual event with the American Heart Association.
Formerly Jump Rope for Heart, this year’s Kids Heart Challenge gave us the opportunity to help fight heart disease. All students participated in grade-level activities including the Longest Jumper Contest on Wednesday, February 17, during their PE class. Students also watched a virtual Chapel including the annual Faculty/Staff Jump Rope and Costume Contest from their homerooms. All students wore red and pink to celebrate and had a great time while exercising!
