Student Spotlight, Lucy Knight ('26)
In the Arts Spotlight is Grade 7 student, Lucy Knight, and her graphite pencil series. As you can see, many of Lucy’s pieces are portraits. “I try to capture people’s eyes, the joy of motherhood, and the beauty of infants, even in the womb. I like drawing expressive portraits that show joy, love, and life,” Knight says.
Drawing has become a passion for Lucy. She says, “art takes a lot of patience and it is very challenging, but in the end, it is so worth it. I hope my portraits capture the amazingness of our God in His most precious creation...humanity, made in His image.”
Lucy’s artwork is now on display outside of The Perch.
