On May 3 & 4, Covenant’s Grades 5 & 6 presented their spring musical, Aladdin Jr., directed by teachers, Julie Nemeyer and Judy Kent. The cast performed the show on stage in the Hickory Campus Auditorium with sets and costumes that transported the audience to the Arabian nights and marketplaces of the Middle East.
A cast of more than 45 students told the story of the street kid, Aladdin, who is dying to marry the princess Jasmine and become a Prince. With the help of Genie and others along the way, and with opposition from the villain, Jafar, the story takes some unexpected turns.
