LegaciEats Visits the Lower School
Mark 12:31 tells us this, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Teachers at the Birdwood Campus were shown some extra love when LegaciEats, a local non-profit dedicated to feeding front-line workers, those in need, and everyone in between, brought their food truck and served a delicious lunch.
Covenant Parents, Joceylnn and Steve Easton, started LegaciEats in 2020 as a youtube channel at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. During the height of the pandemic, they started delivering meals to first responders and healthcare workers to show their gratitude and to neighbors and loved ones who needed assistance. Since May of 2020, they have provided over 70,000 meals around Charlottesville and the Shenandoah Valley.
In August 2021, The Eastons were able to really get things rolling, quite literally, when they purchased a food truck and launched The BOG3. 100% of these proceeds go back to the community.
