Virginia Piedmont Regional Science Fair!

Starting in Pre-K and Kindergarten, Covenant students build a strong foundation in Scientific Method and STEAM education.  By the time they are at the Hickory Campus, students in Grades 6-12 are equipped to explore the deeper realms of STEAM Programs.
Yesterday, winners from the Hickory Science Fairs, held in the Fall Semester, advanced to the Regional Competition.  Congratulations to the following students for winning awards at yesterday's Virginia Piedmont Regional Science Fair!

 Junior Division (middle schoolers 6-8th grade)
Charlie Longnecker: Albemarle Amateur Radio Club Award
Gia Dettra: honorable mention in materials and bioengineering
Maddie Gardiner: 3rd place in materials and bioengineering
Leah Klein: Honorable mention in animal sciences
Kyle Rajapakse: 2nd place in animal sciences
 
Senior Division (High Schoolers 9-12 grade)
Beau Yates: US Navy Naval Science Award
Hunter Yates: 2nd place in Physics and Astronomy; Charlottesville Astronomical Society Award.
