Robby Swab Named Baseball Program Coach

The Covenant Athletic Department has officially hired our Baseball Program coach. This year he will serve as our JV coach and begin his work of building the Baseball Program back to a varsity level. Please welcome Robby Swab to our Covenant family!
Swab joins the Covenant School after having served the last two years as a Graduate Assistant Baseball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for Averett University in Danville, Virginia, where he also earned his Master’s Degree in Business. During the summer of 2019, Swab was an assistant coach for the Charlottesville TomSox, 2019 Valley League Champions.

Swab previously served as the Operations Assistant for the University of Virginia Baseball Program from 2014-2017, including their 2015 National Championship Season. He was involved in every facet of the program, including assisting with aspects of game-day operations and on-campus recruiting. Prior to that, Swab was the volunteer assistant coach at Gardner-Webb University, coaching catchers and hitters and acting as the first-base coach.

After attending Young Harris College for two years, Swab played two seasons of Division I baseball as a catcher at Presbyterian College from 2011-13. Swab graduated cum laude from Presbyterian in 2013 with a double major in business administration and history.
