Covenant Advances to State Championship Tournaments
Three Covenant athletic teams are competing this weekend in VISAA state semi-final and final tournaments. Congratulations to Girls Soccer, Boys Tennis, and Track & Field! Here are the tournament schedules:
- #5 Girls Soccer has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 19, at 4pm at Ukrop Park (5300 Ridgedale Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23234). They play #1 Highland. The championship will be on Sunday, May 20, at 1pm at Ukrop Park as well.
- #2 Boys Tennis (looking to repeat their state championship, currently in semifinals) is now starting at 1pm Friday, May 18, at the Boars Head (Charlottesville, VA) and will go until about 6pm. The team will play #3 Hampton Roads Academy. The championship will be held Saturday, May 19. Details TBD.
- Track & Field will compete Saturday, May 19, at Sportsbackers Stadium (100 Avenue of Champions, Richmond, VA 23230), going pretty much all day. A full list of events can be found here.
