The Covenant School’s story began years before our doors opened with a group of parents who gathered to pray.  As a school community, our need for prayer never wanes.  We believe that prayer increases our dependence on God’s leadership in the life of our school (a good thing!), strengthens the bonds that link our school community together (also a good thing), and impacts the situations/needs for which we pray (another good thing!). Scripture is full of exhortations to pray and to bring our needs before our God.  With this in mind, we present to you this list of prayer needs within our school community.  We will keep this list fresh, even if some of the needs never change.  Please respect the fact that we will not be able to include any requests specific to an individual unless that individual gives us explicit information and the situation makes this venue the appropriate place to make the need known. Please join us in praying…

  • for all who are part of the school community, to keep the mission of our school central as we carry out our roles within the school community.
  • for opportunities within the day-to-day functioning of the school to encourage one another and to model, especially to our students, those qualities and characteristics that we all desire to attain:  integrity, patience, perseverance, kindness, faithfulness – and that the way we handle these opportunities would be God-glorifying.
  • for the Lord to lead the Board of Directors and Mr. Sanker as they produce a multi-year strategic plan for Covenant.
  • for the Class of 2012, as they begin the process of college applications.
  • for the seniors as they consider colleges and their futures; for God’s presence to guide them toward a perfect fit to use the talents that He has given to them.
  • for God to grant safety and success in the efforts to remove air conditioning units from the Lower School.
