In addition to the Executive Board, the PTC includes a group of volunteer representatives. There are one or two representatives for each grade. All representatives are responsible for setting up grade level emergency phone trees, calling new families, and informing the PTC of any school-related concerns which may pertain to their grade. In the Lower School, the representatives also meet regularly with the Vice President for Lower School Family Life. They organize a get-together for their grade at the beginning of the school year and help with the planning of seminars and Lower School meetings. The seventh and eighth grade representatives are asked to recruit help for field day. The tenth grade representative organizes the Graduation Reception. The eleventh grade representatives provide refreshments for visiting speakers at the Fall College Admissions Seminar.
There are numerous events planned by the administration, individual teachers, or groups within the school. Some of these include the Annual Auction, fourth grade Night of the Notables, Grandparents’/Grand-Friends’ Day, field trips, the Annual Yard Sale, and the Fall Wrapping Paper Sale. All these events create opportunities to become involved. Check out The Week at a Glance regularly to stay abreast of PTC activities.
