The Summer Residential Governor’s School is a prestigious opportunity offering intense educational and experiential learning in several areas of study for high schoolers throughout the state of Virginia. Each year, Covenant students are accepted to and attend Governor’s School programs at sponsoring university campuses.
The selection process for the Summer Residential Governor’s School is rigorous. Acceptance into the program is based on academic records, honors and awards, extracurricular activities, and original essays written by the applicants.
For four weeks each summer, Covenant students accepted into the program live on a university campus and are involved in specialized classes and laboratory work, research, individual and group projects, exhibits and performances. They also hear from notable scholars, visiting artists, and other professionals in their field of study.
