Lower School
For a week each spring, children in Grades 3 through 6 take the Comprehensive Testing Program 4th Edition produced by the Educational Records Bureau (known as the ERBs). This is a battery of assessments designed to provide instructionally useful information about student performance in the key areas of school achievement: listening, reading, vocabulary, writing, and mathematics.
ERB scores are used to help determine the success of new and existing programs and to analyze trends across grade levels. Individual student scores are one of the three criteria employed for placement in academic programs.
Parents receive individual reports on their children’s achievement on these important tests in June.
